Story of Sinking: The ship on her way from Gdynia to Helsinki made a sudden turn to SW in a severe storm and heavy rain before Põtkelma shoal and hit a reef. The gale broke the deck of the ship. The crew left the ship in a lifeboat. A strong wave washed the men off the boat and it capsized approximately 100 meters from the shore. Two of eleven crew members survived. Captain Bengt Edvin Bengtsson and sailor Alfred Kunkjan lost their lives. There is no information about the other crew members. Sailor Engvald Högland and ship boy Hans Emil Mercker survived.
