History: Albatros (ex Iskra) was one of the many fore-and-aft schooners that the Finnish shipyards built for the Soviet Union in the post war years in order to compensate for war damages (one of the so called sotakorvauskuunari).

Story of Sinking: The ship was deliberately sank in the mouth of Pirita River in 1959. The hull of the written-off ship was sank during the construction of the Pirita Yachting Harbour pier with the purpose of using it as filling to the pier. The exact location is not known.
