Story of Sinking: The Russian ship (captain Danila Grigorieff, mate Ivan Jakowitsch Talsky) was on her way from Riga to St Petersburg, when due to a heavy storm, she ran aground near Kihnu during the night (29 November to 30 November). The ship along with most of the cargo foundered. Only part of the rigging was brought to land. The ship broke in a severe storm a few days later.
