History: The cargo steamer Serbino was built in Great Britain in the Dunlop Bremner Inch Shipyard in 1913.
Cargo: Monument of Peter I (the symbol of Russian power was being evacuated from Riga to Saint Petersburg), church bells, various machinery, precious metal etc.
Story of Sinking: The merchant ship was passing through Väinameri. German submarine U-9 was waiting for the ship at Hari Kurk near Vormsi Island and sank it with a single torpedo on 27 August 1915.

Discovery Date: The parts of the cargo ship that were reaching above water level, marked the location from the moment the ship was sank. After dismantling, a sea mark with the location was added to sea charts.
Discoverer: The location of the wreck was fixed by the Estonian Maritime Administration in 2001.
