Story of Sinking: The ship from Lübeck (skipper Franz Schwanck) obtained an extensive leakage in pressure ice while on her way from Lübeck to Tallinn in strong NO wind at 4 a.m. Water leaked into the vessel. In order to avoid complete loss the skipper let the ship run ashore (auf den Strand sich festsetzen). A crew of six men and four passengers were on broad.
