Story of Sinking: The Finnish ship (skuta, Schooner) (skipper Jakob Hunonen) was on her way from Riga to Saint Petersburg, but ran onto rocks in a heavy storm in the waters of Saulepi manor. The skipper, his son and four sailors were rescued. The ship obtained severe damages, water filled the lower part of the ship. Some of the cargo and inventory were salvaged. On 14 November 1865 a storm destroyed the ship.
