Story of Sinking: | On her way from Hull to Saint Petersburg, the English ship (captain Dake Brown) hit ice between Naissaar and Pakri islands on 12 May 1849 (N.S). In just a few minutes the ship filled with water and, in order to save the people on board, the ship was abandoned (log book was taken along). The people boarded the English ship "Canada of Sunderland". | ||
